What is special about African Coffees?
African coffees generally tend to have a higher acidity and are often roasted lighter to retain their brightness and unique character.
Fruit from Arabica coffee plants are processed in order to split the seed from the fruit flesh. In Africa they often use a natural process to do this where the fruit are left in the sun to dry on raised beds. This takes quite some time and so leads to a little more natural fermentation which provides a little more fruity funk to the final bean.
Many have fruity and floral flavours that coffee enthusiasts go mad for!
We’d say try this naturally processed African coffee if your looking to expand your coffee repertoire!
